TAK AND THE POWER OF JUJU
Tak and the Power of Juju is an animated action-adventure television series that aired on Nickelodeon. Based on the popular video game of the same name, the television series follows the main character named Tak, who must learn how to use his newly acquired magical Juju powers to protect the Pupununu people from Tlaloc's evil spell.
In 2021, the series was rereleased on the Paramount+ streaming service. With the challenge of a limited amount of past design assets, the goal was to reinvent and bring new energy to the series by refreshing the overall visuals. My role in the project was to develop new concepts and create the primary key art.

The creative direction follows the story of Tak using his abilities to cast spells and summon magical spirits called Jujus. Inspired by shadow art and symbols from ancient civilizations, various jungle themed illustrations were scattered throughout the scene. Central light burst effects were also applied as a way to suggest the magical connection between Tak, the Juju spirits, and the beating heart of the jungle.
